  24. Closing Remarks *This may seem like an irrelevant chapter of the book * “All Paul is doing is greeting people.” *Understand that there is something to be heard from these greetings *He also gives us warnings *And makes sure our priorities are in place

  25. Gospel Partnership *Paul preached the gospel with joy, but he realized that others were doing the same *These weren’t full-time ministry workers *They were people who served for the advancement of the gospel *This kind of service isn’t easy *How about you guys?

  26. Gospel Wisdom *Watch out = be discerning: -There are people among you who cause divisions and create obstacles -This could be done by teaching contrary to what we’ve been taught -This could be done by behavior contrary to what is right *Stay away from them - Be wise *Who can these people be?

  27. Its All About the Gospel *It was present in the OT: -The prophets spoke. Sometimes unclear on their own. Where is this all pointing? When? -Now its clearly revealed in Christ *We are established by God’s grace through the gospel -He draws us to Himself -We are kept, secure forever *The gospel turns a floodlight onto the saving righteousness of God *The gospel is all about our deliverance and God’s glory
