  3. Historical Note • The Chair of Psychology was opened in 1993. The chair was headed by Maksimov Leonid Konstantinovich, doctor of psychological sciences, professor. • The Chair of Psychology of Education and Development in 2004. The chair is headed by Snegireva Tatiana Vladimorovna, candidate of psychological sciences, associate professor.

The main research areas • «Personality development in different psychological environmental conditions: family, educational and professional» • (scientific advisor is Blaginin Andrei Aleksandrovich , doctor of psychological sciences, professor ) «The problem of social adaptation, resocialization and deformation of the personality development of young people» (scientific advisor is Mihajlova Olga Jur’evna, doctor of psychological sciences, professor)

The results of the scientific research work: • Participation in scientific and practical conferences and different international, All-Russian and regional competitions; • International cooperation with Tartu University • (Estonia) within the framework of the project devoted • to the peculiarities of the Russian national character; • Organization and carrying out regional scientific and practical conferences devoted to the modern problems of psychology; • Publication of different study guides and monograpths, which were awarded Honorary Diplomas of Fund of Development of National Education and Science; • Publication of the scientific research results in national and international scientific journal and periodicals.

The results of the students scientific research work: • Every year NSUH students represent the results of the students scientific research at different competitions and conferences: • International scientific and practical conferences; • International contests of youth innovative projects; • All-Russian students academic competitions in “pedagogy and psychology” • Regional academic competitions • Our students were honored to get President’s Awards, Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous District Governor’s Grants, NSUH Grants, Honorary Diplomas and Certificates.
