Gandhi’s Actions • Gandhi abandoned western style clothing for Indian traditional clothing to boycott British goods • Gandhi urged Indians to wear clothing only made of cotton grown and woven in India • Protest sometimes lead to violence which went against Gandhi’s ideas of nonviolence • Gandhi would fast, pray and call on his followers to practice self-control 1.
