He even prophesizes His emotional life and spiritual life are out of order Unable to reflect on what is going on inside He is not self-aware Seeks others’ approval Driven by fear and jealousy

ECLDN – Emotionally Healthy Spirituality FALSE SELF SYMPTOMS • I avoid looking weak or foolish for not having the answer. • I have to be doing something exceptional to feel alive. • I have to be needed to feel alive. • I am fearful and can’t take risks. • I do what others want so they don’t get mad at me • I use knowledge and competence to cover my feelings of inadequacy. • I want my children to behave well so others will think I am a good parent. • I compare myself a lot to other people.
