  1. Cover Page Changes as per the different country. Keep globe for every country in every issue. The colour changes as per each issue Ouarterly Newsletter . Issue No.7 . September – November 2009. Keep this box. Change Color for Different countries These pictures Change for each Country with each issue

  2. Page 2 Every country will have a page like this on the inside cover or second page. Pictures will change each issue and content will depend on the country. Essentially the page through pictorial representation complimented by brief captions detail all the project activities of CNFA in specific country. The Color scheme may also vary by country. This should be consistent issue to issue with only minor variations among countries.

  3. Page 3 A note from the editor is essential in introducing the newsletter to the readers. Also a word from the Country Director is vital for it gives the newsletter a sense of credibility. Consider non-transparent background

  4. Page 4 Consider making stand out more Bigger font. At least 9pt if not 10 or 11pt The major story of the issue will follow the letter from the country director. This should be the longest story in the issue. It can be up to 2 pgs. I think 1 to 1.5 is ideal.

  5. Page 5 Part of a section of this page could be dedicated to an advertisement from an input supply company. Advertisement Space (Optional, though recommended)

  6. Page 6 The center of the issue could be a photo spread. Many readers will open right to the middle so we should take advantage of that by grabbing their attention with interesting photos. The captions can be treated as mini-articles, giving some description of an activity that is not well covered in the rest of the issue. The page is also vital in breaking the monotony of too much written stories. (A Picture is worth a thousand words).

  7. Page 7 This page is a continuation of the photo spread. Though this page can be left to the editor’s discretion. Sometimes the editor may decide to put a one page catchy short story or dedicate the page to the project activities, news or happenings in the specific country.

  8. Page 8 The page could be dedicated to the second main major feature story of the project activities of the specific country. The story could be one and half pages or even two pages, depending on the editor’s discretion.

  9. Page 9 This page is a continuation from the previous page of the second major story of the project activities.

  10. Page 10 This page could be dedicated to the third major success story of the program activities. It can be a one page story that captures the impact of CNFA activities. Or depending on the editor’s discretion it can be a one and half pages story, spilling to the next page. Advertisement Space (Optional, though recommended)

  11. Page 11 The page could be a continuation of the major feature story from the previous page. Or any other event or story depending on the discretion.

  12. Back Page I think a contact page is very important. Depending on the country, I recommend the page to have contacts information of all the regional offices of the specific country. Depending with the editor the page can certainly take a more country specific theme if we like. A catchy photo of the project activity or event like a field day, demo or training can be placed. Photos change with every issue. Photos change with every issue.
