Evaluation (weekly feedback) Negative aspects: • Technical problems (frustration) • Differencebetweenlanguagelevels (impededfluency, unease) • Difficultytoarrangemeetingtimes (5-hour-time difference) Positive aspects: • Verycommunicative, same agegroup, mutual interest in otherculture • Every studenthadhadmorethan 3 skypemeetingsbythe end ofcourse • Consciouslyusednewvocabularylearntduringmeetings

Outlook • in-class-skype-meetings (once a month) • create portfolio of skype-tasks for more learner independence • 2nd skype-course with Acadia (4th-year-students returning from Freiburg) • optimize course outline (different semester time slots) Suggestion: Tandem Course 1 (late September - beginning of October) Tandem Course 2 (beginning of March – late March)
