  5. Mrs. Mercado ● Graduated from Texas Christian University ● Taught for the Fort Worth ISD and have taught at St. Mark for 25 years ● Will teach all students Math and Science

  6. Ms. Eisele ● Graduated from Lycoming College, BA Psychology/Elementary Education Certification and Concordia University, MEd, Advanced Literacy ● Teach Reading and English ● Taught for 17 years in the Diocesan schools; 16 at St. Mark

  7. What Books Do I Need Today? Posted in hallway by each classroom. Students should check sheet to see what books they need to take into the classroom in the morning. Students will go to lockers before Language Arts and exchange their books. They will also go to locker before and after lunch to get needed materials for the afternoon classes. Students will be sent to get a tardy slip, if not in their seat by 7:55 a.m. 2 1 After Recess

  9. Lockers Lockers may have a name tag only on the outside

  10. Lockers Each locker has a shelf on the inside. Under the shelf students place books, spirals, and workbooks. On the Top of the shelf they should put P.E. bag, lunch, and backpack. There is a hook for jackets and sweaters. Students may have one magnet on the inside to hang their Ren Web assignment sheet. Please check your child’s locker to see that it looks like this.

  11. Homework Board Each classroom has an Assignment Board where students record their homework. It is a final check at the end of the day. Students will also record their homework assignments in their assignment books. It is their responsibility to record it in their assignment books.

  12. Expanders Expanders have been labeled In the order the students have their Classes. Papers in these sections are “Works in Progress”. Please do not remove papers from these sections. The papers that have been completed will be placed in the Black Take Home Folder. They may be taken out. Homework assignments are often found here. Please check nightly. Behavior Sheet will also be found here. Sign nightly and return to folder.

  13. Scholastic Book Orders Mrs. Samples and Ms. Eisele will be handling this periodically. They will notify students.

  14. Differentiation Teachers differentiate in classes using a variety of methods. This is an example of a Choice Board.

  15. Service Projects Students will make cards for new students and deliver them. We will take pictures with our “new” student buddies and welcome them to St. Mark. Each month their will be a Act of Service and when student has completed it will be recorded on their heart with a stamp. Please turn in materials to teacher. We have also begun a “Be Golden” campaign to Treat Others as We Want to be Treated.

  16. After Recess Please place a deodorant stick in your child’s P.E. bag for use after P.E. Also, please make sure to label shoes, P.E. bag, and sweater.

  17. Clubs Eligible students will be notified by email Prior to sign up for clubs. They must have a 96 or above average in math to participate. Math Fax also requires a 96 or above to participate. Again, parents will be notified by email.

  18. Please save empty paper towel and toilet paper rolls for an upcoming Science Stem Project. Please send these in to Mrs. Mercado. Students will construct a Marble Run and these are necessary items for the construction.
