Pet Pal Animal Shelter We have Our Own Veterinarian Staff On Hand Pet Pal Animal Shelter, formerly known as Pet Pal Rescue, was founded in the early 1980′s by two women when they realized the high number of animals that were being euthanized due to pet overpopulation and neglect. Driven by their desire to make a difference, they began taking animals from shelters, and finding permanent homes for them. By 1988, they organized Pet Pal Rescue as a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Pet Pal Rescue was located in the Orlando area until August 2002. when it moved to Pinellas County, under the supervision of former director, Jennifer ForlizzoMcCraw who oversaw the construction the actual shelter which opened it’s doors in April of 2005.In 2008, Pet Pal built a low cost spay/neuter clinic and in 2009, they expanded their services and changed the clinic’s name to Pet Pal Veterinary Clinic. The Clinic offers reasonable fees for their procedures , therefore aiding the fight to cut down the large number of pets that are euthanized each year. Under the direction of Executive Director, Scott Daly, Pet Pal has stayed true to their mission and the number of animals that they save increases each year.  It  continues the fight to educate the public about the importance of spaying and neutering their pets and responsible pet ownership. • Offering guaranteed child safe & parasite free animals • Adoption animals are matched to your family’s needs • 7 day money back policy *certain restrictions apply

All cats are Spayed/Neutered, Vaccinated, FELV/FIV Negative, Microchipped, and Dewormed!Adoption fee for each cat is $60 All dogs are Spayed/Neutered, Vaccinated, Heartworm Negative, Microchipped, and Dewormed!Adoption fee for each dog is $150 These are some of the available pets at the time of this publishing, we apologize for any inconvenience for any already placed pets , but will make every attempt to provide a suitable animal.

  5. Volunteering • Thank you for your interest in volunteering for Pet Pal. All volunteers must be 16 years of age or older. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during their initial visit. Persons wishing to volunteer must come to the shelter so that they can complete a volunteer application and take a tour of the facility. • Not yet 16 but still want to help? • Here is a list if ideas for ways you can still make a difference! • Ideas for Junior Volunteers • Bake Sales, Car Washes, Dog Washes • Hanging up Pet Pal Information in Dog Parks • Putting together a donation drive for items on our wish list • Koins for Kitties/ dimes for Doggies-collect spare  change for our animals-remember a little goes a long way! • Consider having a birthday party gift drive-inform your party guests that you would like for them to bring an item from our wishlist • Making Bandanas for our Dogs
