Support of XML in EOM using OMXML • The new XML features being provided in EOM 7, available as an add-on, provide a simple means for XML-enabling legacy batch applications • Handled by a new module called, OMXML (Output Manager XML), as a Window Service collaborating with EOM • Convert between XML and flat files in both directions • Existing reports to XML output streams • Incoming XML to flat files for batch input • Use XML data for File Masking • Transform XML to other formats • PDF, PCL, Postscript, etc. • Distribute via Email, FTP, HTTP • Bidirectional interface to external Web Services • Controlled by XML directives • Configured via EOM GUI • With little or no change to existing applications Unisys Technology Forum 2008, Queenstown
