Biography • 1988 Graduate of Bishop McDevitt H.S. • 1993 Millersville graduate (B.S. – Biology) • 1995 Teacher Certification • 1996 –First teaching job in Waynesboro • 1998 – First year teaching at CDEHS • 2005 – M.Ed.Admin and Principal Certification from Shippensburg Univ. • 2011 – M.S. – Biology from Shippensburg Univ. • Grew-up in CDSD and currently reside in East’s part of the District • Married to a CDEHS graduate (Class of ‘89) • Four wonderful daughters; 3 go to Rutherford Elem.

Grading Scale: Weighted Based on 100% • 60% the grade is based on your quizzes/ tests • 20% the grade is based on your classwork • 10% the grade is based on your homework • 5% of your grade is based on your being prepared for class (materials & behavior) • 5%of the grade is based on class participation

  5. Extra credit may be given to a student ONLY if they have completed all of their other assignments. • Any blank on the grade sheet equals a missed assignment that can still receive full credit if completed. • NHI = Not Handed In (will not get full credit when turned-in) • A = Absent when assigned or collected (can still receive full credit) • E = Excused from assignment (no harm or help to overall grade)

  6. Biology I Pilot Program • Same curriculum as all Biology I classes • Most resources, including textbook, are online • Use netbooks and Moodle 2.0 as tools to deliver course content • Still do hand-on labs • Course is designed to be accessed anywhere where internet is available.
