  4. Present tense • To form the present tense you simply add the personal ending to the present stem of the verb…What? How do you get that? • Take the 2nd principal part of the verb, the infinitive and drop the re… • Example…amo, amareamavi, amatus • AMARE, DROP RE…AMA… • But be careful…notice the a is dropped for 1st person sing…(also note that the first form of the verb is the present, 1st person sing) So it’s given to you.
