  6. ILC Experience in the past: Scheme: lost attraction, lost interest gradually, could not keep pace with changes Platform: technical problems came up from time to time Force: external incentives lost impact gradually, and the portfolio could not take root seriously

School atmosphere: convergence of effort Student profile : a direction for student long term development (courage) Skill-based development: a framework to integrate formal L&T and other learning experiences (blueprint) Goals and values: shared practice (consensus) Operation system: can facilitate the normal school life (authority)

School atmosphere: self reflection and evaluation as normal school life Among students: morning sharing (student leaders, others), student leaders’ performance assessment, GED activities, annual portfolio exercises … Among teachers: sharing, work evaluation, teacher journal and portfolio, staff retreats, AC retreats, staff development (self reflection, Learning Circle techniques) … School level: HKSSEN (visit, exchange), ISO internal & external audits, SSE, ESR …

  13. Key Questions: Is the content and value of the portfolio systeminherent in the school? Does the portfolio systemfacilitate the normal operation of the school curriculum? Is there an intentionally conjoint effort to establish the meaning and culture for the values behind the portfolio system?
