  5. Bgklg3fz Disneyland How to Plan Your Trip Communicating While Traveling

  6. Bgklg2qz1 Walt and Roy Disney began their partnership on October 16, 1923 when they signed a contract to produce the Alice Comedies, a series of six- to eight-minute animated (以动画片形式制作的) films, or “shorts,” combining,live-action and animation. What began as the Disney Brothers Studio evolved into The Walt Disney Company. Throughout the decades, the company has expanded worldwide from shorts to feature-length animated and live-action films and television production; character merchandise licensing; consumer products retailing; book, magazine and music publishing; Internet activities; television and radio broadcasting; cable television programming; and the operation of theme parks and resorts.

  7. Bgklg2qz2 From the creation of Oswald the Lucky Rabbit in 1927 and the debut of Mickey Mouse in 1928 to the premiere of Tarzan in 1999, animation has remained the defining signature of the company. Along the way, Disney has added successful TV shows like Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, opened theme parks in California, Florida, France and Japan, launched more than 700 Disney Stores and added brands such as Touchstone, Miramax, ABC and ESPN to the fold. To make the most of Disneyland—the ultimate escapist fantasy (想象,幻想) and the blueprint (蓝图,蓝本) for imitations worldwide—throw yourself right into it. Don’t think twice about anything and go on every ride you can. The high admission price ($36) includes them all, although during peak periods each one can entail hours of queuing. Remember, too, that the emphasis is on family fun; the authorities take a dim view of anything remotely anti-social and eject (驱逐,排斥) those they consider guilty.

  8. Bgklg2qz21 Over four hundred “Imaginers” worked to create the Indiana Jones Adventure, Disneyland’s biggest opening in years. Two hours of queuing are built into the ride, with an interactive archeological dig and 1930s-style newsreel(新闻短片)show leading up to the main feature—a giddy (使人眼花缭乱的)journey along 2500ft of skull(颅骨,头骨)encrusted (镶饰的) corridors in which you face fireballs(火球), falling rubble (碎石,瓦砾), venomous snakes(毒蛇)and, inevitably, a rolling boulder finale. Disney claims that, thanks to computer engineering, no two Indiana Jones rides are ever alike. Judge for yourself. Tomorrowland is Disney’s vision of the future, where the Space Mountain roller coaster (游乐场的环滑车) zips through the pitch-blackness of outer space, and the Star Tours ride simulates(模拟)a journey into the world of George Lucas. The Skyway cable-car line that connects Tomorrowland with the clever but cloyingly(腻烦地,厌倦地)sentimental (感伤的,多愁善感的) Fantasyland is the only spot in the park from which you can see the outside world.

  9. Bgklg2qz3 As for accommodation, try to visit Disneyland just for the day and spend the night somewhere else. Most of the hotels and motels nearby cost well in excess(超过,过量)of $70 per night. You are not permitted to bring your own food to the park; you can only consume the fast food sold on the premises(前提,假设). Disneyland is at 1313 Harbor Blvd, Anaheim, 45 minutes by car from downtown using the Santa Ana Freeway. In summer, the park is open daily between 8 a.m. and 1 a.m.; otherwise opening hours are weekdays 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to midnight, and Sunday 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.. Arrive early, traffic quickly becomes nightmarish (梦魔的,可怕的), especially in the summer.

  10. Bgklg3qz1 During your first trip, keep reminding yourself that you can visit there many times. Do not stress over trying to see everything on your first trip. Enjoy what you are able to do and realize that the things you miss this time can be done next time or the time after. A big mistake people make is to try to cram too much into a trip. Do not view your trip as a once in a lifetime event! People who call their trip the “trip of a lifetime” seem to think “this is it, see it now or I never will.” That mentality (智力,智能) puts a lot of pressure on a traveler to do and see everything. More important is just to relax and enjoy whatever it is you do, wherever it is you are. Be careful about asking: “What should I be sure not to miss?” Remember that if you miss something, you can see it next time. After the first trip you learn so much that it would be a shame not to take advantage of that knowledge to make your next trip even better, and to see all the stuff you missed the first time!

  11. Bgklg3qz2 Figure out what you need to be comfortable, and then take all the steps necessary to care for yourself and make sure that you have arranged for whatever makes you comfortable. If you love small boutique (时装店,服饰部) hotels, stay in them! If a long series of flights with plane changes in the middle is terrible for you, book a break in the middle of the journey. Do not visit a tourist place that does not interest you intensely because it is a “must see”. If it is not your must see, it is a waste of valuable vacation time. Do enough research to learn what is available, but do not spend all day at an art museum if what you really want to do is taste wine or search for ceramics (陶瓷)! It is supposed to be fun, not a school trip!

  12. Bgklg3qz3 Go with an open mind. Nowadays there is so much available information on most resorts. People have preferences and will express their opinion to friends and relatives and others. Do not let that influence you! If you want to see Florence, go to see Florence. If you want to see the small town, go to see it, despite what someone else told you. Do not just head for the popular tourist destinations. Seek out roads less traveled.

  13. Bgklg4qz1 If you travel abroad, learn a few words and phrases of their language. This is always helpful and will be very much appreciated. A simple hello”,“goodbye”,“please”,and “thank you” will go a long way! If you do not speak the language, learn how to say in the language that you are sorry, you do not speak French/Italian, etc. Do not just ask “Do you speak English?” as if it is expected that they should speak English. You can find a way to communicate. Do not be afraid to ask questions. Most locals will be happy to help you and it is much better than wandering around aimlessly and frustrated. Swallow your pride and ask for help. Be sensitive that some information is communicated differently. Remember that different countries use different times for transportation and dates are stated differently. Talk to local people. They will become your best memories.

  14. Bgklg4qz2 Do not be afraid to ask: which way, how much, where is, etc. If someone does not understand what you are saying, stay calm. You are speaking the foreign language. You will find a way to communicate. Be very polite and respectful. Use the local terms for sir or madam, please and thank you. Smile and say hello to people you pass on the street in small villages, even the people at the next table in a café. Be especially polite to the owners of small restaurants—you will get good service and sometimes extra food!

  44. 译文 译文 z.w 1 Disneyland and Theme Parks Among the many tourist sights which people around the world often wish to visit, the Disney Parks hold a rather special and famous place. They are more thanjust a dream vacation spot for a family. They are a total experience which is both exciting and enjoyable. They are worlds of magic, mystery and fun. These Disney Parks are places where fantasy and reality freely mix witheach other and one can enjoy oneself totally at whichever age level one wants to be.

  45. 译文 z.w 22 One can become part of the past or part of the future. Attractions in the park are based onthe tales and legends which satisfy the imagination of a child’s world and take the adults back on a journey into their own past.

  46. 译文 z.w 1-1 These parks are places where adults can once again become a child, and children can live in the dreams of their youth. The Disney characters made popular through animatedfilms come alive and invite the visitors of the park to become part of their world. Children can take a picturewith Snow White and shake hands withMickey Mouse himself. Donald Duck, Goofy, and the Seven Dwarves walk about the streets of the park like living celebrities ever ready for a photo or a signature. The magical world of Disney creates an innocent homemade story which speaks directly to the child within each of us.

  47. 译文 z.w 2 Although the first Disney Park was opened several decades ago in a suburb of Los Angeles in Anaheim, California, a second park was later established on the East Coast of America in Orlando, Florida. It was not long before a Disneyland opened near Tokyo and a later one was built in Paris. One wonders which other cities will become future satellitecenters for the Disney characters and Sleeping Beauty’s castle to weave their magic.

  48. 译文 译文 z.w 2-1 Since the advent of Disneyland, other theme parks have emerged throughout the country using Disney as their model for success. Over the years they have also established themselves and have grown and expanded offering wholesome entertainment for the family. In America alone Busch Gardens and Six Flags Over Texas are representatives of this kind of holiday destination. Obviously their popularity is based on the need to offer a valuable service to the public. They provide vacationing families with a wholesome atmosphere especially designed for children but they also offer enough difference to entertain adults as well.
