  6. Goals for educational change • Provide exposure to all medical students in End of Life care • Stress the importance of End of Life Care in all areas of medicine

  7. Current opportunities for change • Pritzker Initiative: A Curriculum for the 21st Century • Curriculum Review Committee • University of Chicago Hospital Palliative Care Consult Team • Begins Fall 2006

  8. Steps to meet these goals • End of Life Interest Group • Student group sponsored through Pritzker’s Dean’s Council • Allow access to valuable resources • Panel Discussions on End of Life • Allow Medical students exposure to physicians at U of C who are interested in this area

  9. Steps to meet these goals • Palliative Care consult team • Allow Medical Students to round with the team
