  1. Fair Trade Group News! Holyrood Fair Trade Group are delighted to announce that the Fair Trade Foundation have renewed our Fair Trade School Status for the third year in a row! We are also delighted to announce our new partnership with Lomola Girl's Group and the Thyolo Papermakers in Malawi. This partnership began in June 2012, during our school visit to Malawi. Together our new partners produce environmentally friendly, 'pure' Fair Trade craft items. We currently have a large range of items for sale. All proceeds will go directly to our partners and will be used to fund education in Malawi, housing for the Elderly and provision for HIV orphans. At the moment we have large pictures, made from recycled materials at £6 each, various packs of cards: large cards are £5 per pack, small cards are £3 for a pack of 5 and £6 for a pack of 10. There are also necklaces for £2.50, hand carved doorstops for £3 and doilies for £3. We will also be taking delivery of over £500 worth of Christmas items in October, so if anyone is interested in buying some ethically sourced, 'pure' Fair Trade goods, please get in touch and I will provide further details/pictures. Every penny raised will go directly back to the producers and will make a huge difference to their daily lives. Clare and the Holyrood Fair Trade Team.
