  1. Directions on How to Make an Atom First you choose an atom. Then you find out how many electrons, protons and neutrons it has. Make a model of the atom. I chose oxygen. I got particle board and cut one piece into a square and the other piece into a circle. I drew 2 circles onto the big circle. Then I got 8 atomic fireballs and drew a minus sign on them. They were the electrons.

  2. I got 8 orange skittles. I drew plus signs on them. They were the protons. I then got 8 green skittles. I drew nothing on them. They were the neutrons. I put 8 electrons on the large circle. I glued 6 on the outer circle and 2 on the inner circle. In the middle I glued the protons and neutrons. After it dried, I glued the large particle circle onto the square piece of particle board.

  3. I made a key. On the key, I put the name of my atom. I put how many protons, neutrons and electrons it had. I used a red atomic ball and labeled it with a minus sign and put it beside the electron. I used an orange skillet and labeled it with a plus sign and put it beside the protron. Finally I put the green skittle beside the neutron.

  4. I put four facts about my atom below my key and put my name under it. I glued it below my atom on the square particle board. THAT IS HOW I MADE MY ATOM PROJECT
