  2. HTML/TEXT PREFERENCES • Contacts can opt to receive HTML or TEXT emails in the Preference Center. When they choose an option it updates • Eloqua fields • PC – HTML & HTML Email¬ - Value ‘Text’ or ‘HTML’ • HTML Email¬ - Checkbox 1 or 0 • SFDC fields • HTML Email - Checkbox 1 or 0 • The Preference Center has the following processing steps • If field = Text • Add to Contact Group ‘PC – Text Only Email’ • Remove from Contact Group ‘PC = HTML Only Email’ • If field = HTML • Remove from Contact Group ‘PC – Text Only Email’ • Add to Contact Group ‘PC = HTML Only Email’ • Unfortunately, changes to these fields do not update the Eloqua Email Preference

UPDATING ELOQUA EMAIL PREFERENCE • To update the Eloqua Email Preference, we need to manually: • Add members to the following contact groups using the relevant filters • Update the Contact Group members using the Advanced Options • For Text Only • Contact Group: PC – Text Only Email • Add members from ‘PC – Text Only Email’ filter • Apply Advanced Option – Allow only Text emails to group members • For HTML Only • Contact Group: PC – HTML Only Email • Add members from ‘PC – HTML Only Email’ filter • Apply Advanced Option – Allow HTML emails to group members (by default)
