  2. What is C-PET? • Crystallized Polyethylene Terephthalate • Basically, it is PETE with a twist in the manufacturing process • Extremely difficult material to produce • Not as many competitors as other plastic mediums • relatively new medium

  4. The Market for CPET • Food Processors (entrees/baked goods) • Frozen Entrees • full variety from Mexican to Italian • Ready to Eat Meals – HMR (Home Meal Replacement) • Fresh meals to go • Baked goods • brownies, angel food cakes, loaf pans, etc.

  5. The Market for CPET • Supermarkets / Supermarket Distribution • many supermarkets have in house facilities or commissaries to make entrees and baked goods • Foodservice Distribution • many restaurants / specialty delis offering meals to go • caterers - disposable upscale containers

Basic Attributes of CPET • Duel Ovenability • from -40 F to 400 F • Freeze / Refrigerate / Bake in the same container • Bake / Ship / Sell in the same container • No taste or Odor when used within temperature parameters • Dishwasher safe • Typically priced like PETE Plastic • More expensive than aluminum, OPS, PP

  7. Basic Attributes of CPET • Strong Impact Resistance / Durable • Minimizes production damages • Minimizes shipping damages • Minimizes consumer accidental damages • Won’t crush / dent / bend on sales displays • Dimensional stability at high temperatures • Shatter resistant (unlike OPS)

  8. Basic Attributes of CPET • Upscale Packaging • Merchandises well • Value added assistance for foods • Good Barrier properties for freshness/ shelf life • When coupled with PETE dome, reclosable • Usually offered in black / white / colors available
