Biography of Edgar Allan Poe Edger Allan Poe was born in Boston on January 19th 1809.Then in 1892 Mrs. Allan died and john Allan was trying to be friendly so he signed edger's application for west point. Edger joined the army in 1827.In 1836 edger married his cousin Virginia when he was 27 and she was 13.1843 he published a few short stories. Virginia died ten days after his birthday. He than moved back to new york on September 27.

  5. Biography continued He also got drunk a lot and did crazy things. He lapsed in and out of consciousness but was never able to explain what really happened to him. After visiting his friend in new york he went to Richmond. He died in a hospital on October 7, 1849.

  6. My Theory on Poe’s Death I believe Poe died from drinking problem. I think this this because he was a lonely person after his cousin or wife died . He also had no one to stop him from drinking after Virginia died .

  7. The Masque of the Red Death My favorite story by Edger Allan Poe was the masque of the red death. Because I like that all the rooms had different colors and different meanings. It showed suspense by making you want to know what else happens in each room. Also by him telling you what each room meant like the black room means death you want to know what will happen in that room.

  8. The masque of the red death continued. The masque of the red death showed symbolism by having all the different room named and colored a certain way to show different meanings. And by him doing this it made you keep thinking what might happen and why the rooms were painted different colors and why they meant what they meant.

  9. Conclusion Edger Allan Poe was a very lonely and sad man that was crazy and that had many problems with drinking. He also married his cousin that was 13. I think he could of changed what he was doing but decided not to. Even though he was a strange man I liked his stories and had a hard life and was mistreated.
