COMPETITION OVERVIEW • Date: 2014. 11. 24 (Mon) ~ 25 (Tue) • Venue: Sheraton Walkerhill Vista Hall • Host: Banks Foundation for Young Entrepreneurs • Purpose • - To find the best from startups representing its nation • - To promote information exchange between startups • in different markets so they can gain global insight • - To provide opportunity for startups to meet policy makers • and to discuss how to develop entrepreneurship-friendly • environment • Participants: National representative startups from 40 nations • Travel and lodging: Cost for one person per startup will be provided by Banks Foundation for Young Entrepreneurs • *Booth space for exhibition will be provided upon request

PARTICIPANT SELECTION ELIGIBILITY • Must be recommended by Startup Nations delegate • To be a winner of a local competition or • To provide proof of excellence, such as recommendation letter from a reputable organization (e.g. University, Government organization, Venture Capitals, etc.) • Innovative business model in tech industry: tech-based startups • Focus on IT hardware & software industry • Service needs to have English or able to demonstrate the service in English • Must be incorporated after 2011.11 (3 years or less) • Sum of external funding must be less than USD 2M • Need to have minimum viable product • Need to upload presentation file (video or PT) to a website when requested

PRIZE Prize USD 100K Cash Prizes for the winners of the competition USD 50K Equivalent Perks for the top 5 of the competition Examples: Microsoft BizSpark program support, Amazon AWS voucher, Google Cloud Service support, IBM Catalyst voucher, Mentoring session with prominent accelerator or venture capitals, …and many more 1st Place Award: USD 50K 2nd Place Award: USD 30K People’s Choice Award: USD 20K + All winners will be given private IR pitch opportunities with sponsors * Note: All prizes are subject to change depending on sponsors’ request

JUDGING CRITERIA JUDGES • Total: 100 points • Problem and Market needs (20) • Clear, easy to understand problem • Size and growth of opportunity are attractive enough • Solution (30) • Concise and effective to solve the problem • Complete features and benefits • Business Model (20) • How-to-make money part makes sense • Management Team (20) • Has what it takes to execute the plan • Competitive advantage (10) • Strengths against competitors • Semi Final: 5 judges * 2 groups • Judges • 1 from venture capital • 2 from sponsor companies • 2 from Startup Nations • Final: 5 judges + 100 Attendees • Judges • 2 from venture capitals • 2 from sponsor companies • 1 from Startup Nations • Attendees • Selected among registered attendees in • advance & will be given devices to vote • for People’s Choice Award
