  2. What Is It? • An competitive academic club for all students • Business focus • Strongly recommended that you enroll in a Business Education course while a member of BPA

  4. Regionals: December 2013 • Harper College • Conant, Schaumburg, Hoffman Estates • Palatine, Fremd, Barrington, Stevenson • Scores separated • Must meet minimum standards to compete at State

  5. State: February 27 – March 1, 2014 • Field trip to Oakbrook, IL • Meet people from all over the state of Illinois!

  6. Fundraising! • Fundraising is mandatory • Candy sales • One box each member • September 25 – October 25 • Or pay $40 • Make sure YOUR NAME is on envelope • Checks preferred—no coins • Concessions (basketball season) • Restaurants • Lou Malnatis, Chilis, Tavern Grill, Wendy’s, etc. • Other???

  8. Thinking of majoring in Business or going straight to the world of work? Looks great on a college application! Looks great on a resume! Not a major time commitment Great experiences! Competition Leadership Friendships Have fun!!!! Why Should I Join?

Now What? • Take a yellow card • Turn in to Mrs. Ertl’s mailbox in Main Office or Room 219 or Mr. Hauser in Science • Fill out membership form online • Only way you will receive emails • Start reviewing contests • Not able to sign up for contests until candy money and membership forms are turned in • Check the website!!!! • Signup will start mid-October Next Meeting:October 9 same time, same place

  10. Chapter Officers (3) • 2 - 3 minute video • Desire • Qualifications • Vision • Submitted to Mrs. Ertl by October 11 • Voting will open after our meeting on October 16 • Online membership form • Yellow card • Candy signed out
