  5. Ethical Scenario Class Discussion • Our personnel recruiting firm has presented an applicant to a company to be considered for employment. He gets close to an offer, but our reference checks show that he doesn’t have a degree. Do we tell the company? Furthermore, he has now been unemployed for over six months. • Repercussions The applicant needs a job. The company wants to hire him. Our company wants the commission for our services. • Questions Do we say nothing and hope they will not notice that he doesn’t have a degree? Should the applicant have to explain the situation? Should we explain the situation?

  6. Assignment • Ethical Decision Making in the Workplace • Step 1 – Two scenarios will be distributed to each group • Step 2 – Work cooperatively and complete Team Worksheet and come to a consensus as to what decision is appropriate • Step 3 – Share and compare with the class • Note: each scenario is from an actual situation that has occurred.
