  1. CARING, SERVING, SUPPORTING Mission LeukemiaTexas is an independent nonprofit corporation dedicated to fighting the life-threatening blood cancer of leukemia through the funding of leukemia research and patient aid in Texas. Through its Patient Aid program, LeukemiaTexas provides financial assistance to leukemia patients needing help with their necessary treatment expenses. This program currently serves over 100 children and adults. The LeukemiaTexas Research program awards grants for research to develop new and improved methods of treatment and which may ultimately lead to a cure for leukemia. As part of this program, LeukemiaTexas offers a Young Investigator award. This award helps fulfill a major need in today's scientific research community by supporting innovative research conducted by promising young researchers at the early stages of their careers.

  2. Research Leukemia is a cancer of the blood and bone marrow. The bone marrow is the spongy center of the bones that makes blood cells. Although leukemia starts in the blood, it eventually affects all parts of the body. Leukemia strikes people of all ages, races and genders. However, during the past 40 years incredible progress has been made through research in the treatment of this disease. Today, about 85% of children receive clinical remission while 50% of adults survive five years or longer. LeukemiaTexas has taken an active role in contributing to the successes that research has achieved. Through its Research program, LeukemiaTexas awards grants for research conducted in Texas to develop new and improved treatment methods and ultimately a cure for leukemia.

  3. Cars and Coffee™ Dallas is a gathering of auto enthusiasts where hundreds of proud drivers will congregate to kick tires and have a cup of coffee. There is something for everyone to enjoy; classics, exotics, concepts, hotrods, motorcycles and motor-sport. All the revenue generated on October 5th is donated to LeukemiaTexas
