Samih al-Qasim,one of themost important andmost famousArabpoets and contemporary Palestinians who have their name associated with the poetry of revolution and resistance from inside the territory the year 48, the founder of the newspaper all the Arabs and the editor in chief emeritus, former member of the Communist Party. Born to the family of a Palestinian Arab village of Ramah in Palestine in 1939, and educated in the schools of Ramah and Nazareth. It was learned in a school, then went to his political activity after the Communist Party before he left the party to devote himself to his literary work.

Samih al-Qasim received manyprizes including: * Laurel Poetry from Spain * And was awarded the Al-Babtain *And won twice on the "Order of the Holy Culture" of President Yasser Arafat *And was awarded the Naguib Mahfouz from Egypt *The Prize of "peace" from Oasis of Peace, *The Prize "poetry» Palestinian.
