  1. Notices: • Thank you for all the lovely Celebration booklets. The children have really enjoyed looking through them. • Grant forms are in trays, please bring them back by next Friday (17th). • Just a reminder that we will be holding a Parents Evening on 14th January 2014 from 7-8.30pm. There is a sign up sheet by the decking door. • Another reminder that all applications for Primary School in September 2014 need to be submitted by 15th January 2014. • We will be trialing a Wednesday afternoon session at Allsorts from January ‘14, please let us know asap if you would like your child to attend. • French class starts again on Monday 20th January (letter to follow from Florence). • This week we have… • Welcomed Henry, Seth and Stanley to Allsorts. • Made faces of people we saw over the holidays, put paper clothes and faces on pictures of ourselves and our relatives, made family trees with hand prints. • Played with spaghetti in the tough spot and hunted for treasure in the garden. • Tuesday forest school session was out and about exploring puddles and the effects of the rain (ending up at the village shop to buy our snack!) • Next week… • We will be looking at the Winnie the Witch stories. The children are very welcome to bring any books or related items in! • Don’t forget to bring back the “How We celebrate” book if you haven’t done so already. • We are asking for photos of family and friends (who you may have seen Christmas) so that we can create a display in the playroom If you would like us to print out any photos to include in the book please email over Christmas so that we can create the display. • Show and Tell: • Letter of the week is “N,n”. • For new parents: Each week we have a letter that we use with the children through the day, so for example next week we may be eating lots of apples for snack! We also encourage the children to bring in something from home to show to the other children, this could be something beginning with the week’s letter, or something which shows what they have been doing at home, or just a favourite toy (please don’t bring in anything too valuable/treasured!) • Happy New Year from everyone on the team!
