Review of Company & Role • Annual operating budget of <£300k • Business Plan of over 60 objectives & actions • Over 40 Key Performance Measures some of which have no method of ongoing monitoring • No overall budget ‘ownership’ by key staff • Disengagement and poor communications with business, Council and other partners • Little or no ‘partnership’ working at strategic or ‘higher’ level • No baseline assessment and no Service Level Agreements Council

  4. Review of Company & Role • Focus on festivals and events • Poor understanding of what the BID and its function BUT • Well motivated staff • Enthusiastic • Professional attitude • Realisation that there is a need for change

  5. Review of Company & Role BID COMPANY + POOR TRADING CONDITIONS – THAN ADEQUATE BUDGET – ENGAGEMENT THAN NEEDED – NO CLEAR BOUNDARIES OF OPERATION ÷ BOARD = UNCERTAIN FUTURE FOR A POTENTIALLY UNPRODUCTIVE ORGANISATION
