Why Change? • Air Force Change • USAF must maintain broad and sustained advantages over potential adversaries • Provide joint commanders with solutions across the spectrum of joint operations • Our enemies have changed over time, requiring the Air Force to constantly adapt • Change improves effectiveness, efficiency, and flexibility of our forces • The Air Force was conceived of change and has continued to change since its inception • Financial Management Change • Air Force FM was not exactly positioned to support 21st century requirements and warfighting needs • Our leadership needed to find solutions to problems facing our financial management community • Problems/Solutions included: People, Processes and Systems
