  4. What is a Blog? • “… a blog is just a tool. There's nothing special about it, no requirements for any particular features or capabilities. …there's no group that determines if something is or isn't a blog. This means that it's basically impossible to estimate how many blogs or bloggers are out there."

  5. Who’s Blogging? “… if we constrain ourselves to sites that have constantly-added narrative content and do allow user feedback… millions of blogs, people ranging from pre-teens to senior citizens, with the bulk of bloggers in their late teens to 50 or thereabouts.” (Dave Taylor, Business Blogger)

  12. Reminder “Does it hurt?” I whisper. “Of course,” he replies. “More than the back?” “Much more.” Fumes from rubbing alcohol. Nauseous. Giddy. I fling my forearm over the fake leather cushion and he proceeds to carve letters into my wrist with a piercing needle and black tempura paint. Words etch into flesh. 55 words.

  13. “And by the way, everything in life is writable about if you have the outgoing guts to do it, and the imagination to improvise. The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt.” ~Sylvia Plath
