    2. Purpose of the Self-Assessment Survey The PBIS Self Assessment Survey (SAS) is used by school staff for initial and annual assessment of effective behavior support systems in their school. The survey examines the status and need for improvement of four behavior support systems: school-wide discipline systems non-classroom management systems (e.g., cafeteria, hallway, playground), classroom management systems, and systems for individual students engaging in chronic problem behaviors. Each question in the survey relates to one of the four systems. Survey results are summarized and used for a variety of purposes including: annual action planning internal decision making assessment of change over time awareness building of staff, and team validation.

List focus areas for action planning. Lisa- I am going to walk you through the critical components on how to complete the PBIS Self Assessment Survey. The first step is to contact a coach or facilitator so that they may open your survey and enter the dates you would like your Self Assessment Survey opened and closed. The coach or facilitator will also provide you with the code your staff will need to enter in order to access the survey as well as a cheat sheet on how to navigate through the survey so that your staff data is successfully entered.Lisa- I am going to walk you through the critical components on how to complete the PBIS Self Assessment Survey.
