  5. Unit Four • Ancient India • Geography, affect of subcontinent’s isolation on development, Aryan Invasion (leading events)

  6. Unit Five • Ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia • Egyptian geography, culture, influence of the Nile River on Egyptian development, Egyptian achievements in writing, elaborate temples and tombs

  7. Unit Six • Ancient Greece • Geography, development of city-states, culture (drama, olympics, government, etc..), influence on culture through the Mediterranean and Europe

  8. Unit Seven • Ancient Rome • Life in the Roman Republic, culture (entertainment, art and architecture), religion (Roman Catholicism), the fall of the Roman Empire and events leading to it

  9. Unit Eight • Islam and Muslim Empire • Geography, adaptation to environment, origin of Islam and affect on daily life

  10. Unit Nine • Culture and Kingdoms of Africa • Geography, adaptation to the different regions, East Africa, created wealth

  11. Unit Ten • Classic India • Hinduism and the Caste system, affect of religion on mobility of the people

  12. Unit Eleven • Imperial China • Silk Road, how silk became principal element for economy

  13. Unit Twelve • Feudal Japan • Shintoism and its influence on family structure

  14. Unit Thirteen • Medieval Europe • Feudal system, reasons behind the development of this system
