  5. FSR TRAININGS - INSTRUCTORS Training courses are provided by the FSR team as well as by our internationally renowned training faculty.

FSR ANNUAL TRAINING ON REGULATION OF ENERGY UTILITIES • The objective of the FSR Annual Training is to train staff of regulatory authorities and market operators and to allow them to develop a sound knowledge of regulatory principles. • Structure: • Block I in Florence (1 week) • Block II online: e-Learning (7 months) • Block III in Florence (1 week) • Course Director: Ignacio Pérez-Arriaga, • FSR Training Director

  7. FSRSPECIALISED TRAINING COURSE ONREGULATION OF GAS MARKETS This training course deals with specific and current regulatory issues in gas markets. During the five working days, mornings are devoted to introducing the main principles of key regulatory topics, followed in the afternoon by discussion of related real-life case studies. FSR SUMMER SCHOOL ON EU ENERGY LAW AND POLICY  This 5-day training course is designed to develop a sound knowledge of recent developments in EU energy law coupled with a better understanding of the economic principles underlying rules and legal procedures.   16. 11th MEDREGGENERAL ASSEMBLY FLORENCE (9-10 June 2011) • The GA is composed of Heads of National Regulatory Authorities or, in the absence of an independent • regulatory authority, by representatives of Ministries in charge of energy. The GA is responsible for • approving high level orientations, operational guidelines and recommendations, as well as the annual • revision of the work plan and budget.

FSRWEBINARS • Webinars are one-hour long interactive seminars provided by high-level speakers on current energy issues. • They are accessible from all around the world through a regular internet connection in real-time mode. Florence School of Regulation’s webinars are divided into: • 40 minutes content presentation • 15 minutes interactive Question & Answer session • 5 minutes concluding remarks

FSREXECUTIVE SEMINARS • Executive seminars gather high-level participants and provide a professional overview of current issues and future trends in their main fields of interest. • The concept of the Executive Seminar is to combine presentations with open discussion and exchange of ideas between the organizers, speakers, and participants (15 – 20).

FSR ENCYCLOPEDIA OF ENERGY REGULATION • 20 researchers and experts belonging to the large community of the FSR compose the Faculty of the Encyclopedia • The editorial process is managed by a board of three FSR researchers with different specialisations: Economics, Law and Engineering • The content of the articles is drawn from the research output of the FSR: they include links to FSR working papers, reports, presentations, webinars, etc.
