The population of the region is about 500 million people. Membership includes Thailland, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Brunci Darussalam ,Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines and Singapore. ASEAN’s goals are to promote economic growth, social progress and cultural development throughout the region.
