  3. Problem Statement • Musicians have been reading sheet music for over 750 years. While a musician is playing to the end of a page of sheet music, the next page must be immediately available. Having to stop playing, in order to turn a page, is disruptive to the flow of songs globally. On online music forums such as music.stackexchange.com, musicians voice opinions such as “When playing the piano, I sometimes struggle to turn the pages of my music without noticeable sacrificing the sound of the piece or making the book/sheet fall”.

  4. Statement of Purpose • Design a device to smoothly turn the pages of a stack or book of sheet music.

  30. Refinements • Change size of magnetic tabs • Initially, the magnets were going to go across the entire page • Problem with weight distribution • Currently, magnetic tabs on both sides

  31. Conclusion • Flipping sheet music is a big problem • Many solutions that fix this problem, but most are expensive ($50+) • Unaware of products • While the magnetic tab sheet music do not automatically flip the sheets, the process does become smoother
