  2. SOUTH FLORIDA REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY (SFRTA) • Vision Statement: • Providing greater mobility in South Florida, thereby improving the economic viability and the quality of the community, region and state. • .

SOUTH FLORIDA REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY (SFRTA) • Mission Statement: • To coordinate, develop and implement, in cooperation with all appropriate levels of government, private enterprise and citizens at-large in the community, a viable regional transportation system in South Florida that endeavors to meet the desires and needs for the movement of people, goods and services. • .

SOUTH FLORIDA REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY (SFRTA) • Goals: • GOAL 1–Promote a responsible transportation system supported by transit-oriented, pedestrian-friendly strategies; • GOAL 2 – To coordinate, connect and implement our transportation system within South Florida; • GOAL 3 – Ensure quality customer service and increased ridership by providing greater mobility choices, accessibility, safety and on-time performance; • GOAL 4 – Pursue long-term capital and operating funding sources to leverage local resources, both public and private; • cont.

SOUTH FLORIDA REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY (SFRTA) • Goal 4: • Pursue long-term capital and operating funding sources to leverage local resources, both public and private. • Objectives: • Maintain a sound financial plan that assesses the implications of current and proposed policies on future operations; and • Develop revenue and expenditure reporting to ensure available resources are allocated responsibly.

SOUTH FLORIDA REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY (SFRTA) • Goal 5: • Coordinate SFRTA activities with local and county governments. • Objectives: • Collaborate with government agencies to develop land-use policies consistent with an efficient regional transportation system; and • Engage representatives of local and county governments in Authority activities through the SFRTA Board’s committee structure.
