  9. Morning Procedures Quietly find your seat. Take out your spiral notebook and begin the Warm up If you complete your warm up before we go over it, review the lesson from yesterday by reading through your journal. You may also read a book. Take a deep breath and start your day with a smile and a positive attitude =D!

  10. Pledge of Allegiance I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

  15. Classroom Guidelines • Be in your assigned seat and working on the warm up when the bell rings. • DO NOT GET OUT OF YOUR SEAT WITHOUT PERMISSION! Materials will be at your desk. Please raise your hand and ask the teacher if you need anything else. • Please follow directions the first time they are given. • Treat each person in this room with respect and dignity (treat others like you would like to be treated).

  16. Classroom guidelines • Backpacks need to be placed on the back of your chair. • Take out all of the materials you will need before class starts. • Material bags • Check the bags for all materials after you complete your warm up • Check the bags for all materials before you leave the room. • Respect yourself and others

  17. Following Guidelines will result in Verbal/non-verbal Acknowledgement (Awesome job, great, super, =D a smile, high-five) A Stress free learning environment A pleasant and orderly classroom atmosphere

Not following Guidelines will result in • School Wide Plan • Step 1: Warning: Stop and Reflect Notice • Step 2:loss of privilege, student conference • Step 3: Parent Call, Team/Parent Conference • Step 4: Behavior Contract, • Step 5: SAC x 1 day, Mandatory Conference with Admin • Step 6: SAC x 2-3 days, Mandatory Conference with Admin • Step 7: Suspension, Mandatory Conference with Admin • Step 8: Mandatory parent “SIT IN ALL DAY,” Conference with Counselor

  19. Classroom Procedures: Entering the room • Please enter quietly • Have a seat • Take out your materials • Review the agenda and the objective • Begin warm up assignment .

  20. Classroom Procedures: Getting your attention I will: • Stand in front of the class • Raise my hand • Wait for everyone to be quiet • Begin speaking .

  21. Classroom Procedures:Heading on all papers 1. Name (First and Last) 2. Date 3. Subject – Period (3&4, 5&6, 7&8) 4. Assignment name (Warm Up – Day 1)

  22. Classroom Procedures:Discussions • PLEASE participate • I want to hear what you have to say • Make all questions and comments relevant to the current discussion • If your question is off the topic, write it down and ask later.

Homework Policy • Homework will be given every Monday • Use your agenda to keep track of your assignments • It will be reviewed/graded on Thursdays • Late Homework will NOT be accepted • Homework tracker • You are learning to be a responsible 6th grader. • Parents will be called when 2 assignments have not been turned in.

  24. Classroom Procedures:Dismissal • The teacher dismisses you, not the bell • Do not start packing up prior to the bell • Wait until the teacher finishes and officially dismisses you with: “Have a nice day”
