  2. Geography • China stretches some 5,000 kilometers across the East Asian landmass of broad plains, expansive deserts, lofty mountain ranges, including vast areas of inhospitable terrain.

  3. Geography • The eastern half of the country, its seacoast fringed with offshore islands, is a region of fertile lowlands, foothills, mountains, desert, steppes, subtropical areas. The western half of China is a region of sunken basins, rolling plateaus, towering massifs, including, a portion of the highest tableland on Earth.

  4. Culture • Chinese culture is influenced by Confucianism and Taoism.

  5. Chinese Astrology • Chinese astrology includes the Lunisolar calendar, 12 Chinese zodiacs for each year. Every new changing zodiac is celebrated by a Chinese New Year.
