  1. The Aeneid By: Jacob, P-Rob, Crawfish, Winecracker, Track Star, Coach Smith

  2. Burial is important (Don’t mourn for the dead) • A proper funeral is considered to be important because it is meant to be “the final goodbye.” • If you mourn for the dead, then you lose focus on the important things in life.

  3. Soldiers/Warriors • It was honorable to die in battle • Even today, soldiers are honored if they fall in battle • Arlington National Cemetery in Washington D.C. is a graveyard for all fallen soldiers, it also has the tomb of the unknown soldier for those who died but couldn’t be identified.

  4. Gods send signs: omens • Even today some people believe in superstition. • People of different religions often ask “their” god to send them signs, mainly to confirm their faith.

  5. Dishonorable to Kill a Woman • Still dishonorable to kill, but this has been drastically reduced • Women are still given respect. • Ladies first • “Don’t hit a girl.” • Domestic violence

  6. Gods control your fate • In Christianity, the belief in free will is strong. However, Calvinists believe in predestination.
