  4. 1.Scilab’s present engineering applications Nowadays, as scientific compute software, Scilab is widely used in much area, Such as simulation, parallel compute, modeling, optimization, video and image process, signal process, fuzzy network, and so on. OSSS-EA’2006

  10. What we have done 3. What we have done • SciSCADA Toolbox Offering Interface of Scilab With Factory Device • Modeling and Optimization based on Scilab • Electrostatic precipitator modeling • Improved Model of Secondary Clarifier and A2/O Process Modeling OSSS-EA’2006

  11. 3. What we have done SciSCADA Toolbox SciSCADA Toolbox SciSCADA: Science Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition SciSCADA is a toolbox based on Scilab to exchange data with industry device. It can let Scilab used in industrial area, and realizing control and optimization on-line based on Scilab. OSSS-EA’2006

  15. We are doing: • Based on the result using SCILAB environment and Our accumulation in industrial control. We try for the national support such as “national 863 project”. • We are now trying for industrialization of industrial application software with open source scientific compute idea

  17. 4. Scilab’s application on industry area Now, we are trying to use Scilab in many area. Such as Water Supplying Waste Water treatment other fields in Power plant other fields in Environment Protection field OSSS-EA’2006

Conclusion In the past, Scilab only can used in off-line control and simulation in laboratory. with the SciSCADA toolbox, Scilab can exchange data with device layer and Ethernet layer convenience. It transforms Scilab from discrete and off-line control to continuous and on-line control. And we take ESP and A2/O for example to describe the modeling and optimization with Scilab. OSSS-EA’2006
