    3. Vet Center Mission Vet Centers serve veterans and their families by providing a continuum of quality care that adds value for veterans, families, and communities. Care includes professional readjustment counseling, community education, outreach to special populations, the brokering of services with community agencies, and provides a key access link between the veteran and other services in the United States Department of Veterans Affairs.

    4. Who Do We Serve??? Combat Veterans: WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Lebanon, Grenada, Panama, Persian Gulf, Somalia, Operations Joint Endeavor; Joint Guard; Joint Forge, Global War on Terrorism (OEF/OIF). Military Sexual Trauma Bereavement Marital/Family Counseling

    5. How Do We Serve? Community based clinics Relaxed atmosphere Liscensed Counselors, Social Workers, Psychologists Individual, Group, Marital and sometimes Family sessions. Treatment Appropriate for Outpatient Setting.

    6. What Do We Address? Post Combat readjustment: service member and family issues Post Traumatic Stress Depression Anxiety Relationship issues Many issues affecting Veteran Mental Health Issues do NOT have to be related to the combat experience.

    7. What Do We Provide? Individual Counseling Group Counseling Marital/Family Counseling for military-related issues Military Sexual Trauma counseling & referral Spouse/S/O Counseling to help with the Veterans treatment Referral for services for Homeless Veterans

    8. More of What We Provide Benefits Assistance Referral Community outreach, education and referral Liaison to VA Facilities Referral to Community Agencies Information On Veterans Organizations Drug And Alcohol Abuse Referrals

    9. Affects Equal Numbers of Women and Men Defined by DoD and the VA as sexual harassment and sexual assault. Does not have to be proven to receive counseling services at Vet Centers. Every Vet Center has qualified counselors to address MST.
