  4. FOOD VALUES We eat to keep ourselves to be good and healthy.We cannot live without food. Regularly several types of food are necessary for the growth and development of body, repair and replacement of worn tissue, and for producing energy etc. Our health depends largely on the quality of the food we take.

  5. FUNCTIONS OF FOOD The three main functions of foods are- • growth and development, repair and protection of the body. 2. production of heat and energy. 3. protecting the body from diseases and making the body healthy, energetic and active.

  6. FOOD TAKING TIME Thrice a day: • Morning • Afternoon • Evening /Night

  8. Morning MODERN BREAKFAST Puri With Salad Bread With Jally

  9. AFTERNOON (1.00- 3.00PM) Lunch • Rice • Vegetable • Curries • Pulse
