  1. Get Ready to Read Why do explorers seek out other worlds? Think about the different life forms that explorers see in the oceanic world. Describe your impressions of the oceanic world. Parts of the underwater world can be cavernous. What are some other places on the surface of the Earth that are cavernous?

Give an example of something that seems unlimited. • Boundless – not limited; infinite or vast • Outer space is boundless. • Compare boundless outer space with a place that is cavernous.

How can you tell if this is a reliable online source? • Read pages 136-137. • Draw a conclusion about the purpose of the Web site Sea Story. • Preview the headings, pictures, and other graphic sources on pages 138-139.
