  3. The Diary • 1942- Anne Frank Receives diary for 13th Birthday • Diary Helps give “Comfort” • Wrote Hopes, Dreams, Fears, and Historical Events. • Final Entry: Aug 4th 1944

  4. Publication • Otto Frank turned writing into book called “The Diary of Anne Frank” • Widely read in 60’s and 70’s after movie of Anne Frank in USA • Did not publish entire diary due to personal issues • These pages made public in 1995
