  3. As you create your Word document record the elements of your sources in the toolbox/citations box.

  4. 1 • 2 • Click on the Toolbox Icon. • Click on the citations icon on the Toolbox menu bar.

  6. Select Your Citation Style Make sure the toggle menu is set to the style appropriate for your assignment. MLA is often used in undergraduate school. APA is standard for many graduate school programs. Some instructors may specify Chicago or Turabian. Choose the required style.

  15. Once the sources are entered, you will be able to generate citations, bibliographies etc.

  16. Create a Citation • Place the cursor in the text where you want the “in-text” citation. • Double-click on the source you wish to cite.

  17. Insert cursor in text – and double click on the source. This is an in-text MLA citation. NoteMLA citationDOES NOTinclude the date.

  18. Create a Bibliography or a Works Cited List • Place the cursor in the text where you want the bibliography or works cited list. • Choose to insert bibliography or works cited –the list of sources will be inserted.
