Report on CE2004 Revision • Organized in spring of 2011 • Conducted survey of 20,000 industry and academics • Report to the Ed Board in 2011 July • Moderate change • Meeting in Raleigh at SIGCSE • Expand task group from 12 to 18 people • Group must be both inclusive and diverse • Group must include industry professionals and non-US participants

Report on CE2004 Revision • Presentations at • SIGCSE 2012 • FIE (2012 October and 2013 October) • Over 40 signed up for workshop at FIE 2013 • Meeting at FIE 2013 in Oklahoma • Very productive • Created Version 0.00 of new body of knowledge • Plan to meet at least twice in 2014 • Use of GoToMeetingor other technologies

Report on IT2008 Revision • Task Group meeting • At SIGITE conference in Orlando (2013 October) • John I met with the IT Chairs group (about 30) • Task group conducted an open session (about 70) • Straw poll: • IT 2008 is fundamentally okay • Document needs moderate updating to meet new and emerging technologies

Report on IT2008 Revision • Moving Forward • Collect information from academics through personal contacts, particularly this from the SIGITE community • Conduct a survey (via ACM) directed toward computing industry practitioners and technologists with a majority from non-US industries • Report to Ed Board by early 2014 • Expected Recommendation • Convey findings from exploratory group • Form a new committee (task group) • New committee must be • Diverse • Inclusive • Industry representation • Non-US members and involvement
