  7. Using “You Tube” to deepen teaching activities Go to You Tube and type in: “Shaping the way we teach English” for a variety of classroom based videos which could be helpful for all curriculum areas www.youtube.com Particularly good is Module 14 “Reflective Teaching”

So, what’s this about Learning Styles?A practical approach… • Try the following site which has a simple survey for students (and you!) to identify learning styles. • Valuable to remind us that we probably teach to the style we are aligned to which may not suit some students! • Explanations and how to adapt to maximise learning opportunities also clearly explained www.engr.ncsu.edu/learningstyles/ilsweb.html (for Questionaire only) www.engr.ncsu.edu/learningstyles The above aspect of this website gives descriptions of all 4 Learning Styles and explanations of how learners can modify their approach to maximise every day in the classroom WARNING-Many parents of students have also discovered lots about their learning that they didn’t know before!
