4. March 4 • On this day the second Presidential Inauguration occurs. This is important because it means Lincoln will be President once more.

5. April 3 • On this day Richmond, Virginia is captured by Union soldiers. This is important because it means that the Union is wining the war.

6. April 9 • On this day General Robert E. Lee surrenders to union forces. This is important because it is the begging of the end for the war.

7. April 10 • On this day Abraham Lincoln appears in a second story window at the White House. This is important because it is when Booth starts plotting.

8. April 11 • Torchlight Parade of a few thousand assemble at the White House drive way. This is important because the people were showing their appreciation to President Lincoln.

9. April 13 • On this day Washington DC has a Grand illumination. This is important because it symbolizes the end of the Civil war.

10. April 14 • On this day Booth shot President Lincoln. This is important because this is when Booths plan began, also He began on his escape while everyone was still in shock.

11. April 15 • On this day at 7:22 am Abraham Lincoln dies. This is important because after the Presidents death, the official manhunt for the assassin begins.

12. April 16 • On this day Atzerodt goes to his cousins house and says to his Guests that he killed Lincoln. This is important cause later on the soldiers will get valuable information from him.

13. April 17 • On this day Lieutenant Dana receives a tip but ignores it. This is important because if he hadn't ignored it then he could've caught Booth early and ended the manhunt.

14. April 18 • On this day Lieutenant Dana listens to the tip and investigates the Mudd residence. This Is important because now they are on Booths trail.

15. April 19 • On this day the people hold the Presidents Funeral. This is important because it was the day that thousands of people mourned over their dead leader.

16. April 20 • On this day Atzerodt is arrested. This is important because he gave the soldiers valuable information about Booth.

17. April 21 • On this day Booth and Herold still wait in the Pine Thicket to make their escape into Virginia. This is important because it gives the manhunters a chance to catch up to them.

18. April 22 • On this day Booth sets sail for Virginia again. This is important because if they hadn't realized they were heading the wrong way, they would've completely wasted the trip going south.

19. April 23 • On this day Booth & Herold meet old Confederate soldiers and cross the Rappahannock River. This is important because Booth had help in crossing and finding a place to rest.

20. April 24 • On this day one of the union detectives discovers that Booth is in Virginia. This is important cause now they had a new lead on where Booth was headed.

21. April 25 • On this day the cavalry arrives in Virginia. This is important because the manhunters are getting very close to Booth.

22. April 26 • On this day Booth is shot and killed while in the barn This is important because the manhunt was finally over and all the conspirators were captured.

23. July 7 • On this day the conspirators were paraded down to the gallows. This is important because everyone that took a part in the assassination of the president was killed.
