What has to be done • Currentlyalmost 80 institutions are membersof the Cineca –ORCID consortium • Increaseawarenessof the benefitsofhavingan open, internationalpersistentidentifieramongresearchers (itisnotanotheradministrativeburden) forvisibility, career, evaluation etc. • Populate the profiles! Stilltoomany are unpopulated • CleaningofResearch ID and Scopus ID • Make the institutionunderstand the advantage and supportit • Publishers more activerole: shouldembedauthor’s ORCID in the metadatawhen the manuscriptisaccepted • ORCID integration in books systems
