  2. What is blizzard? • A blizzard is a severe snow storm characterized by strong wind and low temperature. The difference between a blizzard and a normal snow storm is that it has strong winds.

  4. Case studyTHE 1993 STORM OF THE CENTURY The 1993 storm of the century A.K.A 93’superstorm or the great blizzard of 1993. It was a large cyclone formed over the North Atlantic ocean on March 2nd 1993. the storm stretched from Canada towards central America but its main impact was on the Eastern United States and Cuba.

  5. Areas as far south as central Alabama and Georgia received 6 to 8 inches of snow and areas such as Birmingham received up to 12 inches. Between Louisiana and Cuba, hurricane-force winds produced high storm surges across northwestern Florida, which along with scattered tornadoes killed dozens of people. 

  6. The storm have killed 310 people and made a $6.65 billion USD. the lowest temperature was -24 degree Celsius.

  8. How can people protect themselves from blizzards? • Check the forecast every day just to make sure and have some food stored in cars or home just incase you got stuck. HOW WILL PEOPLE KNOW? Siren can be set up in housing areas. Don’t be like this guy

  9. How to survive if you’re stuck in a vehicle • Never leave the vehicle. If you are stranded, the vehicle offers a form of protection from overexposure to the cold. A single person walking through the snow is also harder to find than a stranded car or truck. • Clap your hands or stump your feet to exercise and keep warm. And hang bright color objects out side your vehicle so that your vehicle is visible.
