Poetry. Lyle Roeder. Poetry. Neighbors in the yard As you wake up, the sky begins to break. Just as before, you decide which path to take. You know the entire town ‘cause it’s your own backyard… But, it’s infested with the neighbors, and they make life hard.

  2. Poetry Neighbors in the yard As you wake up, the sky begins to break. Just as before, you decide which path to take. You know the entire town ‘cause it’s your own backyard… But, it’s infested with the neighbors, and they make life hard. They are just as dazed as you or I. Struggling day to day as time goes by. “What’s next?”, you ask, “A final task? One that can save my neck? A fee to all humanity??? One sec’ I’ll write the check. You mean it’s free, doesn’t cost a dime and is as simple as my name? If I ride with you and devote the time… You will do the same?” We can both see the rode ahead. Together we will do just fine. With friends, life becomes much easier. By yourself you’re blind. Let’s enjoy the shining sun! Its warmth was meant for everyone. Although you may think you have seen enough, give the kids a chance. Don’t be so rough. ‘Cause they wake up to… Just like you… To face the neighbors in the yard. They need your love and not your shove, Because that will only make life hard!!! Lyle Roeder

  3. Poetry Touch Me Once The miles that separate our love. Freedom is the stuff we all dream of. Forever, is the fresh blues seas. Or is it all just memories? Mistaken thought we had the right. Destroyed in such a timeless fight. If peace could only conquer lives, we’d throw away deaths’ guns and knives. Then God would lift His Hands to say… “Now nothing shalt be in your way!!! Lyle Roeder

  4. Poetry Flowers to the grave Broken hearts. Broken dreams. No strength to live, no strength to breath. Outlandish world. Outrageous lies. The love for life now , finally, dies. Flowers to the grave. Not too much left to save. I’m a master of disaster, but to living , I’m a slave. The sun has a darker side, at times where we reside. Encounter freeways of forever bound to take you for a ride. I’m asking for a reason. A reason for the mess. Seasons of family treason and abandoned babies’ flesh. Flowers now have wilted. Dreams are crushed and being tilted. With corruption and betrayal… Now your bed is fluffed and quilted. Still looking for directions? Low-income housing section. Dumpsters are my caviar. Inject me with affection. Visits from the darkest twists invade our honest wrists. There is only one way to get out… So many crying hearts insist. Flowers to the grave… Be brave… Lyle Roeder

  5. Poetry Drifting I saw you slip away never to be seen. To the sunset’s highest peaks. Drifting, drifting, drifting, drifting… If you could have you’d have stayed. The could that should have wouldn’t be. And all the freedom your heart seeks. Drifting, drifting, far away. Need you now, need you later. I needed you before… Stuck on an endless escalator a broken heart will soar. Lifting, lifting, lifting, lifting… A friend to pain, unknown to pleasure. I lost you, everything I treasure. Searching, searching, every shore… Drifting, drifting, ever more… Until we’ve seen what this all means, each time it rains it surely pours… You’ll be the skyline amongst the trees… Still out here drifting will be me. Lyle Roeder

  6. Poetry Couldn’t be better Run all day, our work is never done… Play, play, play, and we have a ton of fun. Climb a mountain, fly a kite, row a boat, and sing a song… The sun keeps getting brighter, everybody gets along. Birds are whistling with excitement. Parents smiling as children rest. Older folk are reminiscing… That’s our world at its best. Picnic basket on a blanket, in a field under a tree… Dandelions sure look dandy to a fuzzy bumble-bee. Country cooking, open fire, kettle holds a tasty stew. From that tree swings an old tire, and the sky is a gorgeous baby blue. Summer sweetness in its completeness, a sure fire way to soothe your soul. I’ll never leave you. Always believe you. The destiny’s in your control. Lyle Roeder

  7. Poetry Life moves fast Even the future becomes the past. Hold on to the memories… Life moves fast. Golden moments shared between family and friends. One day you’ll sit back and relax… Remembering when. It can often be difficult to make any sense of it all… Life moves fast… Yet, some days slow to a crawl. Each day you may wonder… “Where have all the good times gone?” Just remember, life moves fast…. Hold your head up and… Carry on!!! Lyle Roeder

  8. Poetry Loves Last Words Hold me close. I’m dieing now… I might have saved the world if I only knew how. The blood that flows through all of our hearts, Has taken life for granted and it’s tearing us apart. So much has been seen but there’s so much left to see. When evil is all gone, love can run free. Time has been misused and space has been wasted… If we could be more frugal, there would be fruits left to be tasted. I breathe my last words… Speak my last breaths Sorrow is all around me… Happiness has turned To death! My body wishes freedom and my spirit must sleep. My eyes have cried the oceans… It’s my smile you can keep. Hope it saves you from the horror. Hope it shines when there is no more light. Hope it inspires future families to recognize wrong from right… Now it’s back to the Earth from where I derive. Darkness is to light as death is to survive. If we would be more careful of the choices that we make… We’d have more time to live & love, and less need to waste time reminiscing our mistakes!!! Lyle Roeder

  9. Poetry I just wanna hold you and tell you it will be alright. You don’t have to be upset, I don’t wanna fight. No matter how much there is to do I have time for you Please don’t get excited ‘Cause I hate to see you blue. You can spend your time relaxin’ and such. Even when you’re agitated I love you very much. Do you wanna hang with a hell of a guy? ‘Cause if you keep dismissing I’m gonna start to cry! I want your love to last and be strong all the way through. My heart is in your hands and I’m countin’ on you! You can rest your head on me when it seems too much to handle. I wanna lay you down in roses in room lit bright with candles. Tell me what’s your pleasure ‘cause I’m dying to know. You have my hidden treasure in your smile when it glows. We can work together rather than conflicting. We will be the cause of stormy weather they’re predicting. I know you have it in you to be as sweet as honey I wanna sit with you and laugh, snugglin’ like bunnies You’re a precious woman and I wanna be your man. Let’s make love not war. That stuff is getting out of hand. You’re my babydoll, sweet and very brilliant. No one can keep you down. Your heart is too resilient. I wanna be the one that makes your eyes roll back; Sex that has you feeling like a heart attack. When you know it’s meant to be then hold on tight. I wanna love you every mornin’ and hold you all night! Get yourself ready to be rocked like stone. My love for you babe is full grown! Lyle Roeder
