  7. What happens to Blue Bin Waste? • Sent from transfer station to Recyco, MountfieldOmagh for processing • Council receive breakdown of composition of blue bin materials which contribute to councils household recycling rate

  8. What happens to Brown Bin Waste? • Bin collected from household and taken to transfer station at Magheraglass

  9. What happens to Brown Bin Waste? • Sent from transfer station to NWP, Keady for composting • Council receive breakdown of composition of brown bin materials which contribute to councils household recycling/composting rate

  10. What happens to Black Bin waste? • Bin collected from household and taken to Magheraglass Landfill Site for disposal • Least preferred option due to costly waste disposal fees and limits on landfill allowance; • £50 gate fee plus £72 Landfill Tax • NILAS Allowance Scheme

Future Plans • Plans to increase coverage of Brown Bins within the District • Kitchen Caddys to be distributed to householders • Additional materials to be included in Blue Bins – • Small WEEE • Textiles • Plastic Film • Dense Plastic • Magheraglass Landfill Site to close (2015/16) and RWTC to be put in place
